Club Overview

Our goal is to teach students all about computer science and we require Zero experience. Club meetings are held Bimonthly on Tuesdays.

To gain club credit you must at least 50%  of the meetings, pay to participate on Community Pass, and submit club dues ($10).

Our wonderful advisors are Mr. Schiff, Ms. Robles, and Mr. Trainor.

Intro to Rust

Shahrian Masud, Mohammad Sadiq, Sreeram Vuppala

Rust is a blazingly fast and memory-efficient general-purpose programming language. We will be teaching the basics of rust and working through many of the features needed to use it for any purpose, such as ownership, structures, pattern matching, and concurrency. Prior knowledge of basic programming concepts is highly recommended.

Roblox Game Dev

Anika Thakur, Esha Vigneswaran, Tejas Raghuram

Learn the fundamentals of computer science using Lua along with the Roblox Game Engine! By the end of this workshop, members will be able to create a 3D story-based game in Roblox with generated mobs, while learning basic programming.

Cloud Services

Mahit Mehta, Ali Azam, Diya Shah

Cloud services are essential for deploying, scaling, developing applications in todays time. In this workshop students will learn how to use services provided both by Firebase (GCP) and Oracle. Services include Cloud functions (serverless functions), Firestore (real-time database), Firebase authentication, and Oracle virtual machines, and more. Basic understanding of at least one programming language advised, preferebly JavaScript.

Web Scraping

Vivaan Shah, Abhik Mojumdar, Armaan Sarkhel

We will teach the basics of Web Scraping. We will go over scraping websites for basic tags like <p>, <h>, etc. By the end of the workshop, people will know how to scrape basics from any site and automate a few basic tasks

Flutter App Development

Aarnav Srivastava, Anoushka Abroal, Krisha Shah

We will teach the key elements of the Flutter framework, such as state management, navigation, and http request handling. By the end, participants will have several small projects that they can put on their resume, as will as have knowledge of the basics of the Flutter framework.
